Plumbing 101 Administration & General Regulations -

Provides a comprehensive coverage of the administration part of the Code, clarifying when a permit is required, Building Department requirements and its inspections, what is required of the inspector and requirements of the contractor. General Regulations will cover the design and installation of plumbing not covered in other chapters of the Code, prohibited locations of plumbing, identification of materials, trenching and backfill, inspections, welding and brazing requirements. Plumbing 201: Water Heaters, Fixtures, Faucets and Fittings

This course covers materials, design and installation of plumbing fixtures, faucets, fittings, and waste connections, locations of fixtures and number of required. You will also learn about the design and installation of water heaters and related safety devices. Instructor: Gary Krebs

Plumbing 301: Sanitary and Storm Drainage

This comprehensive course will cover materials, design, construction and installation of sanitary drainage, including underground, above ground, and joints. Storm drainage covers the design, construction and installation of storm drains inside the building, including sizing, types of materials and inspections. Instructor: Gary Krebs

Plumbing 401: Water Supply and Distribution and Traps, Interceptors and Separators

This training course focuses on the requirements for potable water, water service, and water distribution system, materials, joints, hot water supply system, and backflow requirements. Trap requirements, prohibited traps, fixture traps, and grease interceptors and oil separators. Instructor: Gary Krebs

Basic Water Heater Controls -

Basic understanding of electricity, volts, ocups and ohms. Function and application of thermocouple in a safety circuit. ECM in series with safety valve. Theory and application of power pile generators. Simple and Series application. Understanding of flame rod vilification with an electronic temperature controller. This course will familiarize technicians with the basics of servicing hot water heating systems.

Hydronic Heating & Service -

This training course focuses on the basic understanding of hydronic heat and of the components in a hot water heating system. Focus on centrifugal pump performance, primary and secondary loop pumping, economical fast system venting options and preventative maintenance procedures.
